Asking for advice here. It's about currency exchange: when coming from Australia to the Philippines, is it better to exchange Australian dollars to pesos in Australia and bring the cash, or should I just withdraw the maximum amount from an ATM a few times? I usually bring 50,000 pesos in cash at a time.

I use about half cash and half credit card.

Bring your Australian dollars to the Philippines and exchange them here. You get a better rate in the Philippines than from those greedy guys in Australia.

I use Revolut. Wise blocked me for over a month without any explanation... Don't use Wise. Go check the comments on Wise's Facebook page.. Using Wise isn't very wise.

Make sure you also get small bills. If you try to pay with large bills, they'll overcharge you.

I withdraw 25,000 at BDO whenever I need it. It's 250 pesos per transaction.
