The problem is probably that you're trying to send pesos, or you're using a peso account. The Philippine government restricts this, and I don't know of any online bank-to-bank outward TT service that offers that option. Most banks will do a branch TT under USD 500K if it's converted to a foreign currency at the receiving bank, but for large amounts you'll need a paper trail showing where the money came from. That's standard anti-money-laundering practice. In the past, foreign currency accounts were exempt from this restriction, but I don't know if that's still the case. About 6 years ago, with HSBC Premier, I did this from a USD account here to my account in the US as a simple account-to-account transfer, and it went through instantly.

Then do Remitly or a wire transfer 🤷🏻‍♂️
