Those of you holding a 13a resident ACR card, how long before the card's expiration date do you renew it? And do you have to bring your passport along and keep it with you until the new card is issued?
1 month ago. It takes about a month to get the new card. They kept our passports. But since we wanted to leave the country before the new card was issued, we had to get a waiver. We had to do it at the main Immigration office.
I tried to renew with 2 months left, but the Bacolod Immigration office refused and told me to come back in a month 😡
I renewed my card today at the main Manila office, 2 weeks before it expired. It takes 7 business days to pick it up. No, they never took my passport. I paid 6150 pesos, which is about 2500 pesos more than 5 years ago. Could anyone confirm how much they paid recently?
