Something ridiculous that happened this February.

On my trip to the Philippines in February, I met up again with the babae I'd met last year. I gave her an old Nintendo console as a gift, along with Korean boxed snacks and a 5,000-won fan from Daiso.

The next day, after the babae and I spent a little while at a friend's place and left, my friend came home from work and asked me if I had taken the chocolate he had left on his desk to eat. I had no idea which chocolate he meant, I didn't know anything about it at all, and I told him I had never even seen it, let alone eaten it. My friend said he had put some Kisses chocolate on his desk to eat and it was all gone...

Just in case, I asked the babae, and she said she had taken it and was eating it.. And she said it so casually. She doesn't even realize she did something wrong.. I was so dumbfounded. I told her that was extremely rude and that she had put me in an awkward position. Lastly I told her that taking something without permission could even be called stealing, and she got angry at me instead..

Knowing that the cultural difference is this big, I thought that an international marriage with a Filipino would definitely not be easy.
