It's been exactly 20 years today since I first watched "Will It Blend?"

Wow, I remember being so excited every time a new episode came out that I'd look it up every day after school. This and 'Is it a Good Idea to Microwave This?' were the ones.

The internet was so much less corporate back then. Even when you were watching corporate ads.

My wife and I got this blender as a wedding gift. And yes, it blends whatever you tell it to. The motor finally died last year, but the blades (which must be made of adamantium) were still perfectly fine. My favorite little anecdote: one time we had a newborn at home and I was a bit sleep-deprived, making an avocado smoothie. Without thinking, I just tossed the avocado pit right into the blender, and it blended it with no problem. It was just a bit louder than usual, and the smoothie came out as smooth as I wanted. And it kept running for another 14 or 15 years after that.

20... years- stop.

Don't breathe.

My favorite Blendtec trivia is that Blendtec sued Vitamix for copying the shape of their jar (bowl) and got $24 million. And they sent every owner of their blenders an extra jar.
