Pampanga Candaba Barit Barangay Hall Burglarized — TV, Amplifier and More, Worth ₱39,500

📌 Around 7 p.m. on Sunday, November 1 (All Saints' Day), two people on a motorcycle entered the barangay hall of Barit, Candaba, Pampanga through a restroom window and made off with a television, an amplifier and other items worth ₱39,500. Police are pursuing the suspects.

■ What Happened
· According to Journal, two unidentified people arrived on a motorcycle and entered through an unlocked restroom window at the back of the building.
· The stolen items were a television (₱10,500), a public address amplifier (₱20,000), a patrol vehicle battery (₱7,500) and an electric fan (₱1,500).
· The suspects unplugged the CCTV unit so their getaway would not be recorded, then left through the front door.

■ Investigation and Current Status
· The incident was reported to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3), and the Candaba police station is conducting a follow-up investigation to identify and arrest the suspects.
· The suspects' descriptions have not been reported.

Ketamine Worth ₱99.44 Million Disguised as Coffee and Cleaning Agent Seized at Clark Port

📌 On Tuesday, Nov. 3, the Bureau of Customs (BOC) Clark Port sub-office and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) announced that on Thursday, Oct. 22, they seized 19.89 kg of ketamine worth ₱99,445,000 from two shipments arriving from abroad. The shipments had been declared as roasted coffee beans and coffee machines, and as a baking soda cleaning agent.

■ Details of the Case
· The first shipment came from Switzerland and was bound for Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila. It weighed 9,882 g and was declared as roasted coffee beans, a coffee machine, and coffee tools.
· The second shipment came from Amsterdam, Netherlands, and was bound for Montalban, Rizal. It weighed 10,007 g and was declared as a sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) cleaning agent.
· A physical inspection was conducted based on information from the PDEA Airport Interdiction Unit, and PDEA laboratory analysis confirmed the substance as ketamine.

■ Investigation and Current Status
· No arrests were reported.
· Ketamine is a dangerous drug under Republic Act No. 9165 (the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
· The head of the Clark Port sub-office said that, expecting air express parcels to increase during the year-end peak season, they will step up document checks, physical inspections, and X-ray screening.

Pasay 'Parcel Scam' Hub Busted — 3 Chinese and Malaysian Nationals Arrested, Around 150 Foreigners Rescued

📌 On the morning of Tuesday, November 3, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) of the police raided a 'parcel scam' hub targeting overseas victims in Pasay City, Metro Manila, and arrested 1 Chinese national and 2 Malaysian nationals. The number of foreigners working inside the hub who were rescued and taken into custody differs by report: about 150 according to GMA, and 159 (including 128 Indonesians) according to the Inquirer.

■ Background of the Case
· According to GMA, the raid was prompted by information from partner agencies in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam, and by 3 Indonesians who escaped from the hub and asked the Philippine National Police (PNP) for help.
· Most of those rescued were Indonesians, and there were also Malaysians, Chinese, and Vietnamese.
· Police uniforms, caps, and patches, as well as a room made up to look like a police station, were found at the scene.

■ Scam Method (as explained by police)
· The scammers posed as a courier company and contacted victims to say a package had arrived for them. Then someone in a police uniform scared them by saying drugs were found in the package and their assets were at risk.
· Another fake police officer offered to help, asked to see their bank transaction records, and told them to deposit money into a designated account so that their funds wouldn't be frozen, and in this way took their money.
· The main targets were people in Vietnam and Indonesia.

· The police chief said that, sharing evidence with Indonesian police and others, they will prosecute "especially the masterminds."

One person hit by a vehicle at Hacienda Superclub in Angeles — LTO suspends driver's license

📌 On Sunday, November 1, a private vehicle was driven dangerously at Hacienda Superclub (Hacienda Superclub) in Angeles City, Pampanga, hitting one person and putting several others in danger. The Land Transportation Office (LTO) identified the vehicle's registered owner and the driver, issued a show cause order, and preventively suspended the driver's license for 90 days.

· The LTO is considering suspending or revoking the license on grounds of reckless driving and being an "Improper Person to Operate a Motor Vehicle," and it has placed the vehicle on alarm status. The driver was ordered to surrender the license immediately, and the license will be preventively suspended for 90 days.

· Entrances and parking lot fronts in areas crowded with clubs and bars see frequent vehicle traffic, so it is safer to walk away from the roadway.
· If you see dangerous driving, you can record the plate number and video and report it to the police or the LTO.
