There's probably more to the story. Most people won't tell you everything they did wrong.

So you're saying the ONLY reason to be in the Philippines is to find someone to marry. No wonder these countries are tightening their immigration laws. Disgusting.
As general info: none of the travel eSIM companies build their own network, so Saily, Airalo and Ubigi all depend on the coverage of whatever network they partner with. In the Philippines there are really only two networks. Globe or Smart. So a better way to frame this is to ask people who've been to Coron recently whether there was any real difference between the two networks, or how their network did while in Coron, and then check whether the travel eSIM you're considering uses that carrier. Someone also mentioned getting a SIM at the airport. Totally doable. But I'd still find out which network is better first. FWIW, I've personally been using Roamless. It's a travel eSIM, but you can reuse the same eSIM across different countries, and your credit carries over and doesn't expire (they have plans with expiry too, which are better value per GB). They state clearly that they connect to both Globe and Smart 3G, 4G LTE and 5G networks. Would be interesting to hear from people who've been to Coron lately about which network is better.
If it fails, you'll lose the money you invested. If it succeeds, you'll lose your wife.
95% of Bangkok feels like Ortigas or the Makati CBD. I mean, it's nice and walkable, but the sidewalks are narrow and blocked in a lot of places. And I wouldn't put BGC and IT Park in the same sentence. IT Park is a big step down from BGC and much smaller

Just stay away from scammers. Learn to tell the difference between someone who genuinely wants to help and a pretender who'll end up taking advantage of you
Local economist here. Exchange rates are like prices — set by supply and demand. Demand for the Philippine peso is relatively low because we don't export many goods. Our biggest sources of dollars are BPOs and overseas Filipino workers (OFWs). And that income isn't growing as fast as the prices of imported goods.
I mean, people don't want single moms not because they've got anything against the woman, but because they're not looking to adopt a child. No matter what, when you get into a relationship with someone who has kids, it's a package deal. You can't just toss the kid aside.

I think you're better off renting for just a month, and once you're there, ask for a discounted rate if you really like the place. I've seen posts about people running into problems with long-term rentals and regretting it. If a friend or someone who stayed in the same unit recommended it, then you could offer long term
Nobody gossips like they do Childish as hell
Honestly, it sounds like everyone dodged a bullet here, both ladies included
We've traveled the Philippines top to bottom for years, twice, in our campervan — staying in jungles and mountains, all backcountry. I've been here 5 years now, I'm currently doing a loop around all of Mindanao, and we have a home in Zamboanga del Norte. I've never had anything bad happen. Not even last week, when our van broke down in the remote mountains of Zamboanga del Norte and we spent 2 days on the roadside until it was fixed. The people of Mindanao have come through for us a few times. In my book, Mindanao has the best people on this planet. Like I've said many times, they probably love keeping the 'stay away' reputation — none of them wants any part of Mindanao to turn into Dumaguete 😎
For cash, SM malls (customer service desk) have the best rates

My bro Tallwhitedude123 lives in Thailand, yet he's so obsessed with hating the Philippines it's basically his whole personality. Elite karma farming. Just imagine him in the middle of something going, “Hold up babe, I forgot to farm karma today about that country I don't even visit anymore.” It's like an ex who claims they're over you but is actually still obsessed with you. Smh.
Come on, there are tens of millions of women in the Philippines. Just pick another one and move on.

Every insurance company has a 24/7 emergency hotline. It's best to contact a broker and have a chat — faster support and less hassle, and the extra support costs nothing more, so why not? I recommend Tenzing Pacific Services https://ten-pac.com/get-insurance-quotes-y/
I feel way safer in Dipolog or Davao than I ever would in Manila lol
