A waterfall deep in the mountains of Porac Sapang Uwak, this is a natural attraction where you can visit via a 4x4 vehicle and a 2-to-3-hour trek, then swim in the clear waterfall pool.
Google rating: 4.5.
Location & How to Get There — Located in the upper Cabusilan mountain range in Barangay Sapang Uwak, Porac. It takes about an hour by car from Angeles to Sapang Uwak, after which you take a 4x4 vehicle or motorcycle to the starting point and walk for 2 to 3 hours. Since the trail also connects toward Mt. Pinatubo, 4x4s, bicycles, and hikers share the route.
Highlights — You can swim in the clear pool beneath the strong waterfall, and enjoy views of valleys and mountain ridges along the way.
Permits & Fees — A local guide and a waiver from the Porac municipal hall are required, and government-issued IDs are checked at the Sapang Uwak checkpoint. Entering without a permit is subject to penalties, and notices state that walk-ins are not accepted. While official individual registration and guide fees could not be verified, local tour packages bundling the 4x4, guide, and permit started at ₱1,950 per person as of 2023.
Tips — There are many slippery rocks, so wear trekking shoes or aqua shoes, and bring plenty of water and snacks. During the heavy rainy season, the currents become strong and the trail dangerous, so visiting during the dry season is recommended. Pack out all your trash.
※ Fees are based on tour prices from a 2023 travel information site (staycations.ph) and are subject to change (verified on 2026-10-10).
