This is an 18-hole, par-72 championship golf course located inside the Hacienda Luisita estate in Tarlac. The actual pronunciation is closer to "Luisita," so in Korean reviews it is commonly called Luisita CC. It sits within the large plantation owned by the family of former President Corazon Aquino. It is described as having once been that family's private golf course. It was designed in the 1960s by Robert Trent Jones Sr. After the estate was acquired in 2015, his son Robert Trent Jones Jr. took part as a consultant and made changes such as adding more tee boxes. The 2015 Philippine Open and the golf events of the 2019 Southeast Asian Games were held here.
Of the 18 holes, 11 have ponds in play. Many reviews say that there are large old trees and many dogleg holes, so there is a run of holes where you can't see the green from the tee. It is a course where strategy matters more than distance, so several reviews say it suits mid-to-upper-level golfers and is tricky for beginners. Hole 14 is said to be nicknamed "the Monster" because you have to carry a large hazard. Many reviews say the fairways are wide and the fairway and green conditions are decent. However, several reviews also point out that drainage is poor after rain, so the ground gets muddy and balls plug.
A distinctive feature is that all the caddies are men. Many reviews say that a lot of the caddies are good golfers themselves, so their advice on green reads and course strategy can be trusted. It is said that an umbrella attendant can be requested separately from the caddie. There is a driving range, and you can also rent clubs. It is a members' club, but non-members can play if they make a reservation. The green fee needs to be inquired about separately, and the reference price from travel agency bookings is ₱1,600–₱1,900 for 18 holes on a weekday in the off-season. On top of that, there is a cart fee (2 people per cart) of ₱1,600, a caddie fee (per person) of ₱600, insurance of ₱100, and a mandatory food and beverage minimum of ₱300. Many reviews say to use up the mandatory ₱300 at the halfway house or the clubhouse after you finish the first 9 holes. Some reviews say the halfway house prices are not expensive, so it was more than enough. Some reviews also say the Korean dishes at the clubhouse restaurant were good.
According to the popular times on Google Maps, it is generally busiest from around 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Even so, several reviews say there were few people, so play moved quickly and they could play at a relaxed pace. There are accounts of people losing cash or belongings during a round, so it is best to keep valuables on you.
It is quite far from Clark, so getting there by Grab is difficult, and many reviews recommend arranging a private vehicle. According to Google Maps, there is a wheelchair-accessible parking lot and entrance, and one review says there is plenty of parking space. Reservations and inquiries can be made by phone or Facebook. There is a regular weekly closing day, so check in advance.
