Location & How to Get There — Located on Katipunan Street in Brgy. Bulala, Vigan City (near the barangay hall), it takes about 10 to 15 minutes by tricycle or car from Calle Crisologo in the historic district. From Angeles and Clark, Vigan is about a 5 to 6-hour drive (approx. 320 km). By bus, take a Vigan-bound bus like Partas from the Dau (Mabalacat) terminal, which takes about 5.5 to 6.5 hours.
Highlights — Passing through the gate in the alley reveals a garden harmonized with tropical plants, bamboo, bonsai, sculptures, and small waterways. Serving also as a plant nursery where you can buy pots and plants, the inner area features a restaurant serving Ilocano and Filipino dishes, a coffee corner, and a bar hosting acoustic live music.
Rates & Menu — Garden admission is free. Signature dishes at the restaurant include bagnet (Ilocos-style crispy pork belly), kare-kare, Hidden Garden fried rice, Vigan miki (noodles), Vigan longganisa, sisig, and halo-halo. Please check the on-site menu for prices.
Tips — Tucked away in an alley not easily seen from the main road, it truly lives up to its name as a "hidden garden," so use a map app to find it. With plenty of shade, it's a great place to escape the midday heat and relax, and it is commonly visited along with Baluarte and the Vigan historic district.
