An 18-hole, par-72 private golf course established in 1928 in the heart of Cebu City, featuring separate rates for club guests and tourists alongside member-accompanied guests.
Google rating of 4.1.
Cebu Country Club is an 18-hole, par-72 golf course located on Gov. Cuenco Avenue (Casambagan) in Cebu City. It originally opened as a 9-hole course in September 1928 before being expanded to 18 holes, and the course was later redesigned by Gary Player's team.
As a private golf course, playing requires being accompanied (or invited) by a member. However, the official rate sheet lists separate fees for club guests, tourists, and 15-day or 30-day guest cards, so you should contact the golf course to check if non-member reservations are available.
Golf carts and practice facilities are available. The club operates daily from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM, which may differ from the available tee-off times.
The rates below are based on the official website rate sheet (effective June 15, 2024). These are temporary rates adjusted for the clubhouse construction period and are subject to change.
Summary of Online Reviews
Synthesizing six Naver blog posts from 2026 (one personal review by someone who played three rounds, and five golf course introduction posts by travel agencies and study-abroad agencies), a common review is that although it is a flat course with almost no elevation changes, large old trees line both sides of the fairway, featuring dogleg holes, greenside bunkers, and water hazards crossing the course, making accuracy more important than distance. Many posts also highlight that its proximity to downtown hotels in Banilad and IT Park makes it convenient to continue with city schedules after a morning round. According to personal reviews, the caddies were kind and did not rush beginners, and it was possible to play alone with a dedicated caddie. However, a review from a February 2026 visit noted that the showers and locker rooms were unusable due to construction and that they played the same 9 holes twice, while a September post also notes that facility and some hole usage may be limited due to ongoing construction. Some reviews also mention that the greens feature Zoysia grass, causing the ball to roll slowly.
