Had to let my cat outside today :(

I tried to get her used to living inside, but after 2 months she was still depressed, clawing at the windows and trying to get out, hiding and unhappy.

Every night she'd hide, meow once, and just scratch at the balcony window. It was impossible to train her. She wouldn't even let me touch her and she was completely wild. She'd go into hiding at the slightest sound.

People kept telling me to be patient. But I'll leave food outside for her so she can eat while she's out there.

Make sure to get them spayed/neutered!! Spaying or neutering reduces the hormone-driven urges to roam, yowl and spray, so they're much more relaxed as indoor cats. Good luck with your next fur baby!!

What's with all the morons coming here and posting stuff that has nothing to do with either the Philippines or expats?

Thank you for taking her in and looking out for her.

You need to get cats before they're sexually mature — they need to be socialized. You can keep this cat as a guest. We take care of 7 cats here: 4 from the same family (a mother and 3 sons) and 3 of the neighbors' cats. All our cats are spayed/neutered and they're super chill around cats and people. The neighbors' cats are all pretty jumpy and aggressive toward each other. We only let 1 guest inside at a time (with our cat family), because they'll fight if more than 1 is inside. Paying the cat tax
