What are the odds of getting kidnapped?

Hey everyone,

I have a girlfriend from Zamboanga, but we've never met in person. I pushed many times for our first meeting to be somewhere else, but she insists we meet in Zamboanga first. I've asked why hundreds of times. She just says no and won't give me any reason. I asked to see her room, but she's never shown it to me. I've also heard kids talking during our video calls, and she won't explain that either.

What are the odds of getting kidnapped if I meet her in Zamboanga?

Thank you

Come on, there are tens of millions of women in the Philippines. Just pick another one and move on.

Date me instead

Meet me instead, that's the better choice haha

A girl who doesn't insist on picking you up at the airport herself? Yeah, I'm not going.

Been there

Lots of refusals and unanswered questions are a 'red flag.' Something similar happened to my husband, before he became my husband. When we were chatting, I told him we needed time to get to know each other before meeting in person, but he couldn't wait that long. He rushed off to Zamboanga to meet a woman, and she turned out to be married — separated, but still legally married. He didn't find out until they met. She wasn't honest. At that point we were just friends... When he came back to the States, he told me the whole saga. He apologized and we stayed friends. Three months later we met in my hometown of Baguio City in Luzon, with my family, and got married right away. Eleven months later I moved to the USA with him on a spousal visa. And here we are, married 24 years and counting. So be very careful, and don't fall in love fast over pretty looks. Looks alone won't do you any good. Be warned.

Too fishy, stay away

You're acting like she's the only fish in the sea. Stay the hell away from there. The whole thing sounds fishy. Why risk your life? Come to Iloilo, the best place in the Philippines to meet someone.

Lots of people here haven't seen anywhere beyond their home area by the time they're in their 20s. She may just be scared to go somewhere she's never been, because she's never done it. Like a 7-year-old. But I agree with the others: better forget her and find someone more mature.
