Depends on the context. In basic life skills like cleaning or cooking (not necessarily good food, but acceptable by local standards), they seem more mature than most. But emotionally, financially in terms of basic personal planning and discipline, and, to be blunt, in common sense, they're pretty immature and behind even by regional standards, let alone the West.

What age range are you talking about?

All my neighbors' kids are medical students at the local university. Far more mature than any US college kids I've ever seen. Where do you hang out? The sari-sari store?
