6k is the fixer price. 1,200-1,300 is normal.

Just use your US license, it's accepted internationally

A regular license is under 1k, converting a foreign one to local is around 1.5k

Here's the problem in the Philippines. It always starts with “may kilala ka ba sa.....?” (do you know someone at…?). We don't want the hassle of doing it ourselves, so the easiest way is a fixer. So it's actually Pinoys who encourage corruption in the first place.
