Are AWP UPS units in the Philippines really this bad?

I bought two of these for my PC and my router, and after a year the battery shows 0% load, even though we've had almost no brownouts here.

Is it normal for these boxes to have 0% battery capacity after one year? (I'd guess 5s1-0s with a light load.)

Just swap the battery

Normal. Just buy new batteries and swap them in. Either get original Yuasa batteries or Dongjin batteries. I've tried both, and Dongjin has served me well so far. I've had them for 9 months. No sign of capacity dropping yet. AWP is on the cheaper end of UPS brands compared to something like APC, so they skimp on the batteries. Just get better batteries. The rest of the AWP UPS is more or less fine. Just make sure you get the right size and capacity.

I had an AWP for almost 18 months. Then one week my PC and TV kept shutting off randomly even though the power was fine. I checked the UPS and it was running really hot. Since it hadn't even lasted 2 years, I decided to replace it instead of changing the batteries. Got a 900W CyberPower instead.

I don't think so.. I have an AWP ArcPure 2000RT, and it's been running strong for 3 years through plenty of blackouts and city power fluctuations. If I were buying again, I'd buy it again, just with LiPo batteries.

You're better off buying a small power station and running it as a dedicated UPS.

It's cheap for a reason. The fan runs constantly. It's very loud if you're trying to use it to protect, say, a TV in a quiet room. If you have an equipment closet to put it in, it'll probably be fine.
