Judging by the comments, inDrive seems to have knocked Grab off the top spot as the best ride-hailing app.

Okay, everyone, has anyone put a U.S. credit card on inDrive? I have a U.S. credit card registered with Grab, and they add a 3% surcharge even though my card has no foreign transaction fee. I'm fine with the 3%, because like most people in the city I rarely use cash. I don't want to scramble for 20 pesos to pay a Grab driver.

So how's inDrive working for those of you with foreign credit cards?

inDrive has no credit card option. Only cash or GCash.

The best part of motorcycle ride-hailing is the look on the driver's face when he sees the foreigner: 6 feet tall and 300 pounds. Priceless. Just sharing.

I use both inDrive and Grab now. inDrive is cash or GCash only. It can be much cheaper, especially when Grab surges its fares. I top up GrabPay with my Delta Amex card and get charged 2% for using the card, but I prefer credit cards when I can. I've tried JoyRide a few times, but it's next to impossible to get a car in Pasig or Makati.

JoyRide over Grab and inDrive. inDrive doesn't even update its GPS, and half the time I have to explain exactly where I am. One of the drivers actually told my husband and me to download JoyRide, and I'm glad we did. The GPS is always spot on, and it's way cheaper than Grab for long distances.

Not sure where you live, but I've never heard of inDrive. Up here in Central Luzon we have Grab and Maxim.
