Google rating: 4.7.
Location & How to Get There — The departure point is Pundaquit Beach in San Antonio, Zambales. From Angeles and Clark, take SCTEX to Subic (Tipo Exit) for about 45 to 60 minutes, then take the national highway passing through Castillejos and San Marcelino further to San Antonio. By public transport, take a bus from Dau Terminal bound for Olongapo, then from Olongapo take a bus bound for Iba or Santa Cruz, get off at the San Antonio Public Market, and take a tricycle (₱40 per person, 15–20 minutes) to Pundaquit.
Boats & Rates — A round-trip boat ride from Pundaquit to Nagsasa costs ₱2,500–3,000 per boat (up to 4 people), and an island hopping tour visiting multiple spots costs ₱3,500–4,000. Pundaquit Resort Capones Vista also operates a private boat to Nagsasa (₱4,000 for 4 people). In addition to the Pundaquit environmental fee of ₱20 per person, there are separate fees for beach admission, cottages, and tents.
Attractions & Facilities — It features a gray sand beach larger than Anawangin, tree groves, and a river estuary. You can also hike to a waterfall in the woods with a guide. There is no commercial electricity, and most restrooms use a bucket-flush system. For a more comfortable stay, you can use Marahuyo Cove Resort (day trip ₱350, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, includes pool and shower).
Tips — Electricity is available only from 4:00 PM to 8:00 AM via resort generators, and mobile signal is weak. Buy drinking water and ingredients in advance at the San Antonio market, and pack out all your trash (there is a garbage deposit system). For day trips, you must return to Pundaquit before sunset. During the rainy season (July to September) or on days with high waves, boats may not run, so follow the boatman's judgment and always wear a life jacket.
