Good Sunday morning!

I'm planning to apply for a visitor visa in April 2027 for a trip in September 2027. My boyfriend lives in Canada and will be my financial sponsor. I've also been working here in the Philippines for almost three years.
But he's also buying a house around June 2027 (right when my visa might be in processing). I'm worried the embassy will see the sudden drop in his bank balance (for the down payment) or see the house as a reason for me to overstay. Has anyone had their sponsor make big financial moves or buy property while their visa was pending? How did you handle the bank statements? Salamat!☺️

A visitor visa is almost impossible for wonderful Canada

What matters is your strong ties to the Philippines and proving them with documents, not him buying a house. I don't know how strict Canada is with tourist visas compared to the US, but I think the success rate is pretty low

The reason so many say it's impossible is the relationship... a boyfriend. They figure there's a 95% chance you won't come back to the Philippines.. Your boyfriend's finances matter, but him buying a house looks bad to immigration. The other replies saying a visitor visa is possible are about sisters, couples or relatives, who would come back to the Philippines.. A girlfriend will get turned down. GOOD LUCK, I hope you get your visa
