It popped up in my feed a while back, and I used to watch it for laughs. But everything this guy says sounds like he's projecting his own problems onto everyone else. One of my friends went completely broke at nearly 70 from watching this kind of stuff.

Here are a few fun ones. Tim (‘Regular Guy in the PH’, USA) — about $136,000 lost: He wired his life savings to build a house and fund a business in his partner's name while documenting his expat life on YouTube. After a bitter split, he lost control of the property under local foreign-ownership laws and switched his channel to documenting his financial recovery. Douglas (Canada) — about $100,000+ lost: He appeared on the public mediation show ‘Raffy Tulfo in Action’. For five years he'd been sending money remotely for land, house construction, and family expenses, only to find out his partner was living with someone else while taking the money.
These guys are dumb. I just want to retire in the Philippines or another low-cost country and chill. Give me video games, cheap groceries, an exercise bike, and the occasional beach trip. That's all I need till the end lol
Someone needs to do a study on men who try to ‘save’ women at their own expense. Doing it in the West with a Western woman is a fool's errand. Doing it in the Philippines with a provincial girl is wildly hilarious from the outside looking in.

It's hard to take him seriously when his wife's entire family is on his payroll. A walking, talking ATM. He's also building a house he doesn't own, but his subscribers are paying for it, so that's smart. I wouldn't take his dating advice either. He even got a foreigner to build his wife's sister a house. He's really working his YouTube channel to sell his ebooks and ‘services’. If he had his own money, why bother with all that? His choice of CDO is obviously because his wife's family lives there, not some in-depth analysis that only he can provide for a fee.
Do people actually watch stuff like this?? We'll put on the news or a YouTube livestream once in a while, and that's it. I try my best not to watch online videos unless they're pirated movies or TV shows from back in the States.
There's a study by psychologists David Dunning and Justin Kruger, known as the Dunning-Kruger effect. The paper: They described the idea in a 1999 paper titled ‘Unskilled and Unaware of It: How Difficulties in Recognizing One's Own Incompetence Lead to Inflated Self-Assessments’. Basically, it showed that the people with the least skill in a given area rate their own ability far too highly.
