Didn't he go to jail? Besides, he was president, and after leaving office, he's going to take another high-ranking public office instead of returning to civilian life? Is that even legal?? I looked it up, and he did go to jail and was elected while incarcerated...

But the vice mayor's name is interesting. Sebastian Duterte...

It just clicked. Is he family? I searched, and yes, he's his son.

The son is acting mayor.

ㅋㅋㅋㅋ If it's like this, what's the point of elections? It seems like he could run from the grave, not just from jail, and still win.

The last thing that caught my eye was the 8 terms...

8 terms??? I mean, let's just say for simplicity that a term is five years, and he's 70 now. He would have to have been mayor since he was 30 to serve 8 terms. If we subtract the 5 years he was president, that means he's been mayor since he was 25. Is that even possible???

And his daughter, Sara Duterte, is the Vice President and is currently in a direct confrontation with President Bongbong Marcos.

The Duterte family, the rulers of the South, are in this state, and it's so absurd that I searched about the other two families, the Pampanga Queen Arroyo family and the Northern Luzon King Marcos family. It turns out they are even worse than Duterte, making what Duterte is doing in Davao seem mild in comparison.

.....Looking at it all, it's just a chaotic mess.

Unless they completely overhaul everything, it seems impossible to solve the structural problems.
